The meeting brought together representatives from the Fujian Provincial Investigation Office of the Investigation Bureau of the Ministry of Justice, the Kaohsiung Customs Outlying Islands Branch (Kinmen District) of the Customs Administration of the Ministry of Finance, the Kinmen Quarantine Station of the Kaohsiung Branch of the Animal and Plant Health Inspection and Quarantine Agency of the Ministry of Agriculture, the 12th Patrol Area Command of the Coast Guard Administration of the Ocean Affairs Council, the Industrial Development Department and the Government Ethics Department of the Kinmen County Government, the Kinmen County Police Bureau, the Kinmen County Health Bureau, and the Kinmen County Port Authority. Discussions and deployments were made regarding preventing the hoarding of plastic products, price gouging, and the smuggling of agricultural and livestock products, and the "Liaison Platform for Combating Crimes Related to Daily Necessities" was fully launched. This meeting focused on monitoring the market prices and import/export trends of plastic products and essential consumer goods. Regarding illegal activities that could disrupt market order, such as "hoarding plastic products with the intention of inflating transaction prices" or "spreading false transaction price information," the agency coordinated with various agencies and units to actively launch investigations. If criminal offenses are involved, they will be prosecuted according to law without leniency. During the meeting, Section Chief Shih Ta-wei of the Kaohsiung Customs Outlying Islands Division of the Customs Administration was invited to give a special report on how to improve the prevention of smuggled agricultural and livestock products into the country. The meeting also aimed to strengthen horizontal communication between various investigation units through a liaison platform, jointly exploring ways to cut off the smuggling of uninspected meat and its products, as well as other agricultural products, at the source, thus protecting public health and industrial security.
