The Kinmen District Prosecutors Office is investigating a case involving an officer from the Kinmen Defense Command of the Army suspected of violating the Narcotics Hazard Prevention Act by using and possessing drugs. After questioning by the prosecutor, the defendant pleaded guilty to serious charges and was released on bail of NT$50,000 with restrictions on leaving the country and going to sea.

Regarding the case of an officer from the Kinmen Defense Command of the Army suspected of drug use, after the Coast Guard Administration's special task force, under the command of this agency, conducted a thorough investigation and with the full assistance of the military, relevant drug evidence was seized and the officer was transferred to this agency on the evening of April 1, 2026. Following overnight interrogation by the prosecutor, it was determined that the officer was seriously suspected of violating the Narcotics Hazard Prevention Act by using and possessing drugs. He was released on bail of NT$50,000 pending further investigation and was restricted from leaving the country and going to sea. This agency will continue to investigate the source of the drugs, striving to eradicate them completely and prevent drugs from entering the armed forces. We also urge everyone that drugs are the root of all evil and that no one should ruin their future by trying them out of momentary curiosity.
