Kinmen District Prosecutor General Wang Bo-tun attaches importance to the rehabilitation of protected persons after they return to society On the eve of the Spring Festival, accompanied by Kinmen County Honorary Guardian Wu Chengzong, Chairman, we went to the "Pubian Community Resource Recycling Station" established by the protected guardian Mr. He Shengtai to present the Spring Festival care and condolence money. By caring for and encouraging Mr. He, we will provide greater support and help him continue to move forward on the path of public welfare.

When he was young, Mr. Ho was in and out of prison for more than ten years. After being released on parole in 2020, he vowed to do charity work. In addition to serving as a volunteer at the Tzu Chi Resource Recycling Station, he also opened a rehabilitation and environmental protection station on a vacant lot near his home to engage in resource Recycling work, and invite other rehabilitated people to join the environmental protection recycling ranks, has been consistent for nearly 5 years. In addition to being committed to resource recycling, Officer Ho also regularly gives back the recycling proceeds to the disadvantaged, and is highly recognized by the community.

During this caring trip, Officer Ho not only explained to Chief Prosecutor Wang how to deal with various types of recycled resources and the operation of the environmental protection station, but also shared his achievements in winning several awards in community environmental recycling competitions in the past two or three years. He also revealed that he participated in a calligraphy class in prison and developed an interest in calligraphy. He invited Chief Prosecutor Wang to visit the calligraphy room he set up in the environmental protection station, and displayed his calligraphy works one by one and explained his creative concepts. He also mentioned that he followed Tzu Chi brothers and sisters into prison to provide counseling for prisoners, and the direction of his future efforts. Officer Ho thanked Chief Prosecutor Wang for taking time out of his busy schedule to visit the Environmental Protection Station, which touched and encouraged him greatly. He said that with Chief Prosecutor Wang's encouragement, he would be able to generate endless motivation on the road to rehabilitation, and he strongly invited Chief Prosecutor Wang to give him more support if he has the opportunity in the future.

Chief Prosecutor Wang praised Mr. He for his efforts in establishing an environmental protection station and actively returning to society.
Leading other rehabilitated people to do environmental protection and give back to the community is highly praised, and this is a very good rehabilitation model. He encourages Officer He to persevere, continue to work hard, and create greater rehabilitation value. The Department will continue to take practical actions to convey our care and encouragement to rehabilitated offenders and assist them in their smooth reintegration into society, so as to prevent recidivism and maintain social order.
