Kinmen District Prosecutor's Office unveils "Election Interference Investigation Team"

In order to strengthen the inspection work of the 115th Farmers and Fishermen Association election, prevent vote-buying, violence, false information or foreign forces from interfering in this election, and integrate the forces to combat vote-buying, this agency respectfully issues the "115th Farmers and Fishermen Association Election Principles" issued by the Supreme Prosecutors Office. In accordance with the instructions of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, the "115th National Election Inspection Period Pre-Strategy Meeting for the Procuratorate, Police, Investigation, and Political Ethics Election" was held on December 24, 2014 to exchange opinions and build consensus with various agencies under its jurisdiction. The "Election Interference Enforcement Team" was established at 3:00 p.m. today. It is composed of Chief Prosecutor Mao Youzeng of the Kinmen Branch of the Fujian High Prosecutors Office, Chief Prosecutor Wang Bodun of this Office, Director Hong Liangyuan of the Fujian Provincial Investigation Division of the Ministry of Justice, and Huang Rencong of the Kinmen County Police Department. The director, Wang Yuyu, director of the Political Affairs Department of the Kinmen County Government, and others jointly held a ceremony to unveil the plaque, declaring the determination of the procuratorate, police, mediation, and political affairs department to investigate bribery in order to maintain a clean election style. Starting today, our agency will establish an election investigation contact center, set up a dedicated line and assign personnel to be on duty to accept reports from the public. Attorney General Wang Bo-tung would like to take this opportunity to call on the public to report if they find any bribery in the election. For reports of bribery in the election, our agency will require the identity of the reporter. Absolute confidentiality, and the reward for reporting is up to NT$2 million. The relevant reward is given to the speed of investigation and release.
